Retired Teachers
Are you a retired educator from a position covered by the Virginia Retirement System? Are you interested in returning as a full-time teacher while maintaining your full-time retirement benefit?
Have you had a break in service of at least six consecutive months since your retirement date?
Do you currently hold an active Virginia teaching license in one of the following areas?
- Elementary education (pre-K through 6)
- Special education
- Middle education (grades 6-8)
- Career and technical education
- Mathematics (grades 6-12, including algebra I)
- Science (secondary)
- English (secondary)
- History and Social Science (Secondary)
- World Language PreK-12
- Health and Physical Education
