Family Resource Center

Welcome to the Family Resource Center

The Henrico County Public Schools Family Resource Center (FRC) works with families, schools, and the community to help ensure every student will be ready for life and a successful future. We believe that when families are supported, students can do their best in school and beyond.

We build strong relationships with families, bridge connections to school and community resources, and boost family skills and confidence. Our goal is to make sure every family feels welcome, included, and ready to help their child succeed.

The FRC offers many ways to help families, from learning opportunities to community connections. We work with schools and local partners to make sure families can get the right help at the right time.

Together, we can remove barriers, open doors, and create a stronger Henrico where every student can reach their full potential.

The FRC provides a list of private tutoring services for parents. This list includes current HCPS employees, recent retirees, local education students, community businesses, and recent graduates. Please note that inclusion on this list is not an endorsement or recommendation by HCPS, nor does it guarantee the tutor’s qualifications. The list is simply a referral tool for your convenience. All tutoring arrangements are made directly between families and tutors. HCPS is not responsible for any issues arising from these arrangements. Additionally, HCPS staff cannot tutor their own students for pay or tutor during contractual hours.

  • A young child looks curiously ahead while standing near the front of a bus, accompanied by an adult in an orange shirt.

The Mobile Resource Center delivers school and community support directly into neighborhoods. At schools, apartment communities, and even local events, we provide workshops, resource navigation, free learning materials, and more so every student is ready for life and a successful future.
