Due to nationwide supply chain issues and labor shortages, menus are subject to change without notice due to product substitutions and inconsistent deliveries. Menu changes will vary by school. Please consider this information for students with food allergies. Contact your student’s school and/or the HCPS School Nutrition Services dietitian with questions.

Some HCPS schools qualify to distribute free meals based on the federal Community Eligibility Provision, and eligible families at other schools can apply for free or reduced-price meals.
Families with students at some HCPS schools don’t need to apply. Families with students attending schools designated as “Community Eligibility Provision” schools (listed in the chart below) should not complete an application, as all students receive free meals at these locations. The designation of these CEP schools may change based on guidance from the Virginia Department of Education.
(Please note, reduced-price student meal costs are waived by the commonwealth of Virginia for the 2026-27 school year.)
Eligible families at other schools are encouraged to apply for free and reduced-price meals for 2026-27. Click “Free & Reduced-Price Meals” on this page after Aug. 1 to apply. Paper applications will be available in all HCPS schools (excluding “Community Eligibility Provision” schools) and the School Nutrition Services office at 1910 E. Parham Road. Costs for those who qualify for reduced-price meals are being waived for 2026-2027.
