School Audit Results

The Code of Virginia §22.1-279.8 establishes the legal requirements for conducting school safety audits across the Commonwealth. In alignment with this mandate, Henrico County Public Schools implements a comprehensive three-year audit cycle, during which one-third of schools undergo a detailed safety and security assessment each year. The HCPS Safety Audit Protocol provides a standardized framework to consistently evaluate safety conditions, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with state requirements. Below are the results of the comprehensive audits completed during the 2025–2026 school year.
